Ministry Area Teams

Heritage Baptist Church Ministry Area Teams coordinate the ministries of the church.  The teams have facilitators and meet at various times throughout the year to plan, discuss, pray and organize ministries.

Worship:  Our Worship Team has a vision and desire for each person to experience God in a personal,  comfortable and meaningful manner.  They meet to offer input on weekly worship services as well as planning special services such as Easter sunrise services, Christmas Eve services and special events during the year.

Prayer & Mutual Care:  Believing that prayer is the foundation to HBC’s ministry, the Prayer and Mutual Care Team encourages individuals to pray and believe that with prayer the church community can serve most effectively to fulfill the Great Cmmandment and the Great Commission.  This team does that through weekly prayer gatherings, CareGivers ministry to families, special prayer services (Ash Wednesday, Good Friday) and prayer/devotional guides.

Outreach: The Outreach Team has a vision of every person in our community growing in a vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ.  Some of the Outreach Team ministries include organizing community parties, developing the website, and supporting the greeters.

Missions:  The Missions Team works to reach out to our neighbors in love and to create an environment conducive for others to reach out in love.  The Missions Team plans mission projects, mission trips and  opportunities for everyone to get  involved in serving others.  They also oversee the church’s financial resources to local, national and global missions.

Discipleship:  The Discipleship Team wants to help people to develop spiritual maturity in their faith.  The team oversees all areas of discipleship within the church including, Bible studies, Terrific Tuesday programs, nursery, our youth ministry and other programs and activities involving personal and spiritual growth.

Fellowship:  The Fellowship Team’s mission is to build community through the breaking of bread together and fellowship.  They plan activities such as luncheons, breakfasts, picnics, family movies, and activities for all ages to gather together for a time of fellowship, encouragement and fun.

Administration:  The Administration Team’s mission is to oversee the care and maintenance of the church facility and financial responsibilities of the church to ensure that we are good stewards of the resources that God has entrusted to us.
